On Self-love (the bullet point)
The mind is only as clear as the emotions are clear.
After you have decided (which requires a clear mind) that you are ready to love yourself better. You are starting the change that that will result in having a happier life. First, you have to learn what love is. In order to practice it on self, you have to know all the components of self-love.
Self-love is love applied to self. Take the definition, list actionable ways to express each and do them to and for yourself. It is not going to be easy. It might even be hard at first. And after you think you’ve gotten the hang of it, it’ll challenge you. Lifestyle changes do that.

example: Patience; the act of giving time without complaint
Give your Self 60 seconds to say “I love you” eyes to eyes in the mirror every day. Give Self time to remember to do it. Give Self time to get the courage up to do it. Give your Self time to do it and not feel weird. Give your Self time to say it and believe it. Give your Self time.
