I Believe in You! (You Should Too)
As the title says, I believe in you. My question for you today is, do you believe in yourself? If not, why not?
We all have those days when we feel less than competent. We have days when we question whether we really are a “Wild One” or not. Today just isn’t your day and I get that. There are times when I wonder whether I’m going to have the time to do everything I want to do in this life.
To tell the truth, I’m having one of those times when I question everything I do. I wonder if maybe time passed me by. I know I’ll get over this, but I’m lucky. Most of the time I don’t question my worth. I know that I have skills that are worth sharing and a story to tell the world. Today I’m here to tell you that you have something to contribute too. Whether you are a writer, a doctor or nurse, or you are a particularly marvelous cook, you have something to give that will leave the world a better place than it was when you got here.
You Can Do It
I know, I know, self-improvement isn’t easy. What’s even more difficult is figuring out who it is that you want to be. That should always be your first step. First steps are always the hardest. It seems flippant to say, just keep going, but as you move forward, the steps become easier and there will come a time when you can fly forward. One day you will discover that you have become the person you want to be. You can look back and wonder why you were so frightened in the beginning.
I may not know you personally. If we passed each other on the street, you would never look at me twice. But I really do believe in you and believe that if you put in the effort you will succeed. I don’t care how old or young you are, where you come from, or what you look like. You can become a Wild One, and remember, if you’re a Wild One you’re fearless and will get there, wherever “there” is.
Ready? Set? Go for it!
If you think it’s too late because, “after all, I’m 40 years old. I can’t go back to school,” I’m here to tell you that you’re wrong. Once you know what you want, you’re ahead of a lot of people. Some never figure out what they want, less know what they need to do to get there. Now that you know, start looking for the path that will take you there. Follow your dreams!
You can apply that attitude to more than your job too. You can apply this to smaller things too. Want to go on a trip? If you’re not obligated by family or job, go for it! If you can’t afford a trip to Paris, go to Quebec instead. You can still resurrect your high school French and use it. Quebec is a lovely town to visit. You’ll find a way. I believe in you; you’ll figure out a way. If you’ve got family, take them with you and make those memories!
Oh, and if someone in your life says that they don’t believe in you, ignore them. Plug up your ears and sing, “La la la.” They don’t deserve your attention and you don’t deserve to pretend to be something you’re not. Remember, you’re the Brave One, the Wild One who deserves only the best that life can give. You just have to find it and set your course. I believe in your and you should believe in yourself.
If you’re willing to put in the effort, you can show everyone else the amazing woman you are inside. I believe in you and I believe you can. We talk about believing in yourself a lot here because everybody deserves to believe and have others believe in them.
Tell us about it. Where are you now and where do you want to be?
