Mania and Giraffe Kisses – Day 4/30

What a relief! I feel so much better than I did yesterday. I am still not well-rested because I seem to have gotten back into the habit of going to bed after 2 AM. sigh

Both yesterday and today required a lovely nap. I’m not sure if it’s because I’m drinking less coffee thanks to the apple cider vinegar drink or is it because my body is hitting the afternoon slump really hard since I’ve started slow jogging?

Even though I’m getting my exercise and drink done early in the day, I seem to post this journal later and later in the day. It’s after 10 PM now and I’m tired even after having a nap.

Here’s the thing: I’ve committed to maintaining a daily journal of this 30-day challenge/journey and I’m not going to bed until it’s done. You see, I’m not just building a habit of exercising. I’m also building a habit of recording something every day, writing something every day, and social networking and outreach EVERY DAY. I think these are healthy habits that should be nurtured.

As the editor at WildOne Forever, my goal is to building traffic to our site with quality content. And in order to build traffic, people need a reason to check in. We’re trying to do that with great articles that people can relate to. Will this 30-day challenge series find a following or drive traffic.

I don’t know but I’d certainly like to find out because then I’ll have a better idea what my “brand” should be here. Naturally, I don’t want to pigeon-hole myself into exclusively writing health blogs and editing other people’s content.

I like having a variety in what I do. It’s part of the reason why I don’t know what I want to be when I grow up. Besides, this format suits me just fine. It’s kind of a stream of consciousness with a vlog attached.

Come to think of it, this isn’t just a “health challenge” as in fitness and a drink; these random thoughts are very much for my mental health too. Plus this appeals to me on many levels because the challenge within the challenge is to do as many things as efficiently as possible. Then again, doing an exercise, ACV, writing, blog & vlog every day might be encouraging the more manic side of my hard-wiring. This could end up being a train wreck. Wheeee!

A New Day with a Tiny Switch in Routine

Today was a little switch up in my routine. Whereas yesterday I had rolled out of bed and immediately gone for my walk, Thursdays are when I have an open invitation to livestream with my friends at Indie Volt for the Breakfast Buzz.

I don’t always take them up on it because I’m usually staring at the back of my eyelids (sleeping) or working through the dozens of browser tabs that are open, or now, getting some exercise. Now that it’s cooler weather, jogging at noontime isn’t going to kill me. Still, I really prefer going earlier in the morning.

Certainly, I can do the mile and be home in about 20 minutes but I really enjoy the extra half mile through the park – and I’m not quite to the point of going 2 miles. I want to get re-acclimated to exercising again.

DAY 4 – Health Challenge

If I was to have one complaint, it would probably be my double chin. YUCK! I have to hold the camera just right for it to be hidden by my chin…but it’s still there and I hate it.

I think what I’ll do tomorrow is finish my walk, shower and vlog from my desk because I’ve got a pile of mail deliveries that I can do package reveals. Remember what I said about working efficiently? That just got added. And I might even do some neck exercises that I’m told works to get rid of double chins. I’ll give you a hint on one of them…

Giraffe kisses. I’m not even kidding.

That saying just popped into mind: Kill two birds with one stone.
